Israeli Peace Activist & Educator
Biography
Magen Inon is a London-based father of three, an educator with a PhD in the philosophy of education. He has worked to cultivate liberal values and leadership skills with students, military officers, young adults, and inmates. Since the murder of his parents in the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7, 2023, Magen has become a leading voice for peace between Israelis and Palestinians within international media, local communities, and the political elite. He collaborates with Palestinian peace activists Hamze Awawde, Aziz Abu Sarah, Mira Awad and more, focusing on universities and colleges to create hope and shared spaces for dialogue on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

How did Magen Inon - an Israeli peace activist and educator who lost both of his parents in the October 7 terrorist attack - and Aziz Abu Sarah, a Palestinian peace activist whose older brother was tortured by Israeli forces and died, find one another in the dark space? The two have joined forces against personal and political odds to promulgate peace over revenge and reconciliation over hopelessness in their region and begin to work. What in their respective personal experiences led to their current work?
