February 10, 2007 is a date that changed the course of American politics. Illinois Senator Barack Obama formally announced his candidacy for President of the United States. His campaign was viewed by millions of Americans as a movement that reached far beyond politics and provided hope that government could be better. Now 15 years later, what is the legacy of the Obama campaign? How did an unlikely group come together and defeat one of the most notorious political families in American history? And, is there still room in our nation for hope?
