This program will feature a conversation between Institute of Politics director David Axelrod, AB’76, and members of the IOP’s advisory board as they explore the evolving nature of key swing voters for the midterm elections. Last time the most coveted voters were suburban women -- will they be key to victory again? Or will it be parents, who were so pivotal in both the Virginia governor's race and recent local contests? Or will it be Latinos, as was foreshadowed in 2020? Plan to enjoy a broad ranging discussion of shifting voting patterns and the upcoming midterms.
The conversation will feature:
- Heidi Heitkamp, former U.S. Senator (D-ND), former IOP Pritzker Fellow, member of IOP Board of Advisors
- Sarah Longwell, IOP Pritzker Fellow, Republican strategist, publisher of The Bulwark
- Amy Walter, publisher and editor-in-chief of The Cook Political Report, member of IOP Board of Advisors
