What Happened When Redditors Took on Wall Street

Join the IOP as we welcome venture capitalist, engineer, and CEO of multi-hundred-million-dollar venture capital firm Social Capital Chamath Palihapitiya. This program will be moderated by Kara Swisher, Editor-at-Large at New York Magazine & Host of the "Sway" & "Pivot" podcasts. As the founder of Social Capital, Palihapitiya focuses on investments in breakthrough companies in healthcare, education, enterprise software, and financial services with the mission of “advancing humanity by solving the world’s hardest problems.” He previously served as the longest tenured original member of Facebook’s Senior Management team and held leading roles in The Mayfield Fund, AOL, Winamp, and Spinner.com. He is also a minority owner of the NBA’s Golden State Warriors, chairman of Virgin Galactic, and host of the podcast “All In.”
