The Honorable Mitt Romney

Best known as the 2012 Republican Party Presidential nominee, Governor Mitt Romney has deep roots in public service. After an impressive career in consulting and private equity, Governor Romney first gained international recognition for turning around the troubled 2002 Salt Lake City Olympic Games. Romney then went on to serve one term as Governor of Massachusetts, where he practiced fiscal discipline and demonstrated strong coalition building skills. In 2008 and 2012, Governor Romney ran for the presidency, and has since been a leading voice in American politics. Join the IOP as Governor Mitt Romney reflects on his storied career as a business executive, public servant, and presidential nominee, and shares insights on how best to forge our nation’s future. Beth Myers, former IOP fellow and member of the IOP’s Board of Advisors, will lead the discussion. She served as a senior advisor on Mitt Romney's 2012 campaign for president and as campaign manager for his 2008 presidential race. This event is co-sponsored by the International House Global Voices program.
