Rebuilding Trust and Equity in Public Health: A conversation with Ngozi Ezike and Thomas Fisher

In one of her first appearances since leaving her post as the director of the Illinois Department of Public Health, Dr. Ngozi Ezike will discuss how health officials and providers can rebuild trust, in an era marked by a broad erosion of public certitude in our institutions. What are the historical guideposts from prior public health crises, such as tuberculosis and AIDS, and what techniques show promise with individual communities to promote good public health today? How to tackle threats that hit communities unequally, from gun violence to opioid abuse to communicable diseases?

In conversation with Dr. Thomas Fisher, an emergency medicine physician at the University of Chicago Medicine and author of the new book The Emergency: A Year of Healing and Heartbreak in a Chicago ER.
