It's been a sad, infuriating, exhausting year. Like many of you, we're still processing the killings of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Tony McDade, and Ahmaud Arbery. Quite honestly, we're still processing the killings of Tamir Rice, Eric Garner, Sandra Bland, Laquan McDonald, and others. While we continue to reflect on what we as an institute can do to confront systemic racism and injustice, we want to hear from you. We want to know how you're doing. How you’re taking action. How we can support you. Which is why we’re convening virtual discussion groups among students and four members of the IOP family. This will be a space for you to bring your questions, your thoughts, and your ideas. This session will be led by Deval Patrick, first African-American governor of Massachusetts (2007-2015), member of the IOP Board of Advisors, former 2020 Presidential Candidate, former staff attorney at the NAACP Legal Defense Fund, and Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights (1994-1997).
