Opioid Crisis Redux: What Can and Is Government Doing

Come hear from President Biden’s Office of National Drug Control Policy director Rahul Gupta, as we explore the opioid crisis, which has worsened since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. What are federal, state and local officials doing to combat the crisis? What is working and what more needs to be done? And how are law enforcement and public health officials grappling with the ever-changing nature of the crisis?

Pulitzer Prize winning reporter Eric Eyre, who is the author of “Death in Mud Lick: A Coal Country Fight against the Drug Companies that Delivered the Opioid Epidemic,” will lead the conversation, which will also include Minnesota Congresswoman Angie Craig, and Denver District Attorney Beth McCann.
