The Institute of Politics welcomes former Vice President Mike Pence for a wide-ranging discussion of his career and politics. In his new book, So Help Me God, the 48th vice president recounts his journey from his childhood in a gas station-owning family in Indiana to Congress and later the Indiana governor’s mansion before becoming the second-highest ranking official in the United States. Hear first-hand about the ominous day in January 2021 when a mob at the Capitol called for his hanging as Pence sought to oversee the peaceful transfer of power that defines electoral democracy.
Moderated by IOP director David Axelrod.
