Join IOP us as we welcome the winter quarter’s cohort of Pritzker Fellows:
- Mark Campbell, Republican strategist, campaign manager for Virginia Gov.-elect Glenn Youngkin, national political director for U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz’s 2016 presidential campaign
- Carmen Yulin Cruz, former Mayor of San Juan (2013-2020)
- Joe Ferguson, former Inspector General of Chicago (2009-2021), former assistant US Attorney (1994-2009)
- Anna Galland, organizer, strategist, former executive director of Move On (2012-2019)
- Sarah Smarsh, journalist, author of “Heartland: A Memoir of Working Hard and Being Broke in the Richest Country in the World”
- Lotfullah Najafizada, director of TOLONews, Afghanistan’s only 24-hour news channel
Throughout the winter quarter, the IOP fellows will explore the 2020 Virginia gubernatorial race, issues facing Puerto Rico, police accountability and government oversight, public policy through advocacy groups and political action committees, and the realities of rural life in America today.
We will also welcome back Lotfullah Najafizada, who served as a fellow during the fall quarter. He will reflect on the first six months of Taliban rule after the United States left Afghanistan.
If you are a current student who is interested in learning more about the IOP, feel free to stop by earlier or stay later to connect with some of our student leaders and find ways you can engage! Our Winter Quarter student opportunities fair starts at 11AM and runs until 2PM.
