Jane Fonda’s life has included many roles, among them, two-time Academy Award-winner, author and fitness sage. But one title has been consistent: activist. In recent years, she has turned her focus to the climate crisis, and in 2022, launched the Jane Fonda Climate PAC to “electoralize people’s climate angst.” She has played a lead role on Fire Drill Fridays, the national movement to protest government inaction on climate change in partnership with Greenpeace USA and to lift up the next wave of voices. Come hear her in conversation with two generations of other activists: Tyler Massias, Speakers' Bureau Director at Earth Guardians and Jade Begay, former Director of Policy and Advocacy at NDN Collective. Moderated by Washington Post climate zeitgeist reporter Shannon Osaka. If you have any questions about accessibility, please contact iopevents@uchicago.edu. Monday, March 4, 2024 5:30 p.m. CST Rubenstein Forum, University Room AB
