Pritzker Fellow Mick Mulvaney on "Early Days: A Deep Dive Into My First Years in Congress, the Rise of Partisan Division & Yes, My Friendship With Barney Frank" (Current UChicago Students Only) Monday, February 12 3:30-4:45 PM The TEA party gets down to business and turns Washington upside down in the process. We will talk about the key events of the Congressional session, including the first (almost) government shutdown, the debt ceiling “crisis” and the Budget Control Act, Cut-Cap-and Balance, the “fiscal cliff” and the beginning of the Speaker’s downfall. Politics continues to sour, with accusations of the targeting of conservative groups by the IRS and calls to impeach President Obama. Pritzker Fellows seminars are off the record and open to current UChicago students only. Seating in the IOP Living Room is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
