IOP Fellow Noga Tarnopolsky on "America, Israel & a Potential New Page" THIS SEMINAR IS OPEN TO CURRENT UCHICAGO STUDENTS ONLY Tuesday, April 16 12:30-1:45pm For decades, the United States has always had a distinct relationship with Israel. Which nation or nations came first, how did the U.S. become so central and what were the reasons for this? Like so many of his predecessors, President Biden is trying to remake the Middle East, it is in ways not widely understood in the United States. His approach differs greatly from George H.W. Bush, George W. Bush, Donald Trump and, most of all, his former boss President Obama, trading in old school Pax Americana for a fight for the soul of the world and democracy through his Idea Americana. What would that look like and why would it matter if he gets a chance to see it through? Pritzker Fellows seminars are off the record and open to current UChicago students only. Seating in the IOP Living Room is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. If you have any questions about accessibility, please contact Sarah Palmisciano (spalmisciano@uchicago.edu).
