Join the IOP Career Development team for our first Summer in Chicago Book Club meeting at the IOP House, a relaxed gathering designed to bring students together through conversation, connection, a casual dinner, and a shared love of reading.
Whether you are an avid reader or simply looking for a new way to meet other students, this book club is a welcoming space to slow down, exchange ideas, and connect over books that speak to our personal experiences, professional goals, and the world around us. For our first meeting, we will be choosing the book we will read together, so please bring your favorite book, something you are currently reading, or a title you think the group would enjoy. No pressure to give the “perfect” recommendation—just come ready to share, listen to different perspectives, and help us make the final selection.
Students in Chicago this summer are invited to join us at the IOP House, where dinner will be provided. Come ready to connect with other students and help shape what future Book Club meetings will look like.

Career Development workshops are off the record and open to current UChicago students only. Seating in the IOP Living Room is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
