The Institute of Politics house is open to the public:
Monday-Thursday: 9 a.m. - 8 p.m.
Friday: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday: closed

Getting here

Traveling during rush hour (arriving in Hyde Park before 6 p.m.)
1. Take the #2 Hyde Park Express bus to Cottage Grove and Midway. Walk to 60th and Ellis.
OR
2. Take the #172 UChicago/Kenwood bus to 58th and Woodlawn (note that this bus stops running at 6 p.m.). Walk 1 block north to 5707 S Woodlawn.

Traveling after rush hour:
1. Take the #6 bus Jackson Park Express to 57th and Stony Island. Walk to 57th and Woodlawn 5707 S. Woodlawn. From the stop, you can take the UChicago shuttles. These are white shuttles that can be flagged at any intersection and will drop off at any intersection on this map. They are free, and no IDs are needed.
OR
2. Take Red line toward 95/Dan Ryan to the Garfield stop. Walk cross Garfield Blvd and take the #55 bus towards Museum of Science and Industry. Get off at Woodlawn. Walk 2 blocks south to 5707 S. Woodlawn.
