The University of Chicago’s Institute of Politics (IOP) is pleased to announce that it will be celebrating its fifth anniversary with an event on Wednesday Feb. 7 with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau of Canada.
At the event, Prime Minister Trudeau will give remarks and field questions from IOP founder and director David Axelrod. This event will be streamed live on the IOP website at politics.uchicago.edu and is open to press; more information, including RSVP details for media, will be released next week.
This event celebrates the IOP’s fifth anniversary of formally opening its doors in January 2013. In the past five years, the non-partisan IOP has welcomed over 1,000 guests to campus as part of its Speaker Series, hosted 98 fellows as part of its resident and visiting Fellows Program, supported over 1,000 fully-funded student internships around the world, and helped over 500 students participate in student-led civic engagement projects.
