IOP Announces April 22 Event with Sen. Rand Paul

CHICAGO - The University of Chicago’s Institute of Politics is pleased to announce an event with Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) on April 22, 2014.

Sen. Paul will speak at the University’s Ida Noyes Cloister Club on Tuesday the 22nd from 4p-5p CT. Click here to RSVP or find more information.

According to POLITICO president and CEO Jim Vandehei who spoke at an IOP event this week, Paul is “the most interesting Republican politician" today; VandeHei noted that it is “definitely worth watching him and his techniques.”

In addition to Paul, the IOP’s Spring Speaker Series lineup will feature former Sen. Rick Santorum on May 7 and former vice president Al Gore on May 12, plus many more events.

This Saturday April 12 the IOP will host a Political TV Festival featuring actors such as Jeff Perry from Scandal, Anna Chlumsky from Veep, and Bradley Whitford and Richard Schiff from The West Wing, among others. This event will also be live-streamed on our website.

The Institute of Politics officially launched in January 2013 and in the past 15 months has presented more than 225 guest speakers, hosted more than 120 events and placed students in more than 270 internships.
